With his extensive experience across merchandise and marketing roles, Karl is ideally positioned to take on the newly created role of CMO for Australia Post. Karl takes pride in developing and executing fully integrated, customer centric and effective marketing strategies that generate long and short term commercial outcomes.
Karl brings to the role significant retail sector marketing experience having worked with prominent national brands. For the past six years Karl has led the marketing for Officeworks and has been instrumental in developing and bringing to life the brand strategy and go to market plan.
In this role he was accountable for all facets of Officeworks marketing including; strategy, advertising, PR and social, customer relationship management (CRM), brand, in-store signage, online content, internal communications and events, corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability, corporate affairs and digital marketing. During his time with Officeworks Karl was involved in winning 7 Marketing effectiveness awards including gold Effie for marketing team of the year and international IPA effectiveness award.
Prior to Officeworks, Karl was with Myer for more than a decade in roles across marketing strategy, advertising, loyalty and merchandise buying.
