Adam is a proud consumer marketer with 15 years of experience working for some of the world’s largest FMCG organisations. Throughout this time, he has been able to engage and motivate teams to create and deliver insight-led brand marketing and innovation initiatives that have collectively generated in excess of $110M in incremental net revenue.
Adam is currently the Head of Innovation for Glanbia Performance Nutrition (GPN), a global leader in sports and lifestyle nutrition, where he is able to combine his passion for health & wellness with a strong background in consumer marketing and formal qualification as a nutritionist. In two and a half years, he has helped to drive net revenue growth for GPN by over 20% through a series of strategic product innovation activities that have necessitated growing the size of the team in Australia and New Zealand.
Prior to GPN, Adam spent four years at Devondale Murray Goulburn as Marketing and Innovation Manager. Along with a large cross-functional team, he authored and executed a plan that stretched Devondale into new categories, creating significant value, improving the way consumers saw the brand and even scooping up a couple of Bronze Lion awards from Cannes. Adam has also been fortunate enough to have worked in brand and marketing management roles at Heinz, Lion Co., Kraft Foods and Mars Inc.
It was at Mars, where Adam’s career started, and he still believes to this day that it was the best ‘apprenticeship’ he could ever have hoped for. It taught him that marketers have a privileged responsibility inside of an organisation to be the voice of consumers who are outside of the organisation. We have a duty to make sure that we do the right things by those people through the actions of our people, brands and products.
