An Le, National Marketing Manager – McDonald’s Australia

An Le is the National Marketing Manager for McDonald’s Australia.

A senior marketing leader with over 13 years’ experience in building culturally relevant brands and has spent much of her career as the challenger – challenging the number one player in technology, chocolate and in superannuation. A brand marketer at heart, she thrives on driving business growth through creativity and data-driven insights.

In her current role, An leads the Samsung marketing team for mobile phones in Australia. An is responsible for the entire Mobile marketing strategy, from brand engagement and flagship product launch marketing, through to growth marketing initiatives to drive switching and retention. Leveraging the power of a global brand, An is focused on embedding meaning into the Samsung brand with Aussies and driving deep emotional connections with our consumers.

Her career started in agency land at WE Buchan where she worked with financial services clients including QBE insurance and the Institute of Actuaries of Australia. To deepen her comms experience, she joined BT Financial Group where she was fast-tracked internally to become the youngest of five Brand and Communications Managers, tasked with delivering a true multi-brand strategy to ensure differentiation between the Westpac Group’s house of wealth brands. With her love of brand born, she took the leap into the world of FMCG at Nestlé working on the exciting chocolate portfolio. There she was able to link the power of brand with product development and commercial results – translating rich insights into strategic brand propositions, product concepts and creative campaigns.
