Ben Knighton, Head of Group Brand (Acting) – National Australia Bank

Ben is passionate integrated marketing professional with a proven history of developing industry leading work for some of the biggest brands in the world.

In his current role as Head of Group Brand at NAB, Ben leads the Brand Communications, Strategy and Identity for one of Australia’s largest brands.

Ben joined NAB in 2017, prior to which he spent four years Clemenger BBDO Melbourne leading the NAB account team. During this period, he grew the business into Clemenger’s largest account, helping the agency to be consistently recognised as one of the top advertising agencies in the world and crowned Agency of Year at Cannes Lions and D&AD in 2017.

Before moving to Australia to join Clemenger, Ben worked in London at several of the county’s top integrated advertising agencies on clients including Unilever, HSBC, Nestle and Vodafone.

A few career highlights include launching NAB’s More than Money brand strategy and platform, constructing the first ever bronze statue of a female AFL player, encouraging 5,000 ants to eat their way to an advertising message for Unilever, delivering the world’s smallest outdoor campaign for Legoland, and being recognized as the best talent under 30 working in Digital & Direct Marketing by the Direct Marketing Association (DMA).

Ben is always thinking about ways to do things differently and is a firm believer in the power of creativity to solve business problems. Throughout his career Ben has championed effective creativity and has led campaigns that have been recognised at every major award show globally.
