Catherine Rushton, Head of Strategy – Mindshare

A strategist at heart with a curiosity for how people work, Catherine is currently Head of Strategy at Mindshare Sydney. She has dedicated her efforts to Mindshare and its clients for over 10 years in both London and Sydney.

She has also gained invaluable insight into the needs of her clients during her role at Unilever as Senior Brand Manager for Dove Masterbrand, ANZ. In this role she unlocked Dove as a true beauty Masterbrand growing both penetration and market share.

From her beginnings in the Business Planning and Insights team she has progressed to leading the strategic media product across some of the biggest global and local brands including Unilever, Chanel, Kimberly Clark, Foxtel, NRMA and HSBC.

She has specialised in proactively transforming media planning from campaign-to-campaign to full-year category and Masterbrand communications frameworks. This has delivered higher YOY growth for her clients’ brands.

Catherine is proud to be a 30 under 30 winner, Cannes Young Lions Runner Up and Mindshare Rising Star.

Her passion and drive come from building high performing teams. Coaching and developing those around her to achieve their best, while enjoying what they do. Her Mindshare Strategy team was the most awarded at the recent Media Federation Awards including the Grand Prix for Volvo.
