Celia Wright, Client Services Director, Ikon Communications

Celia is obsessed with effective marketing which has led her to explore many facets of the discipline.

She is currently the Client Service Director at Ikon Communications where she leads the team servicing the media planning and buying needs of Commonwealth Bank, Colonial First State, CommSec, Aussie Home Loans and BPAY.  Having joined Ikon in 2017, Celia is a relatively new starter in the world of media and jumped at the opportunity to experience the creativity, energy and flux within the media landscape. She has been pivotal in helping clients navigate a difficult financial services environment and effectively reach and engage with their customers. She leads a team of 14 and enjoys mentoring people to achieve their personal and professional goals.

Prior to joining Ikon, Celia had a decade of experience within financial services working for Commonwealth Bank. Her focus revolved around building engaged and profitable customer relationships. She held multiple roles which developed an understanding and respect for the entire end-to-end value chain to deliver effective initiatives. Whilst in the marketing department, she had a strong track record of delivering record-breaking acquisition campaigns and innovative brand advertising that lifted brand metrics. Her ability to work with stakeholders across multiple disciplines created alignment and amplified business results beyond expectations. She transcended the traditional marketing career path to successfully manage the largest credit card portfolio within Australia and lead a transformational project which delivered a more customer-centric product and pricing design and offering for customers.
