Claire West

As the Senior Manager leading the Westpac brands, Claire is responsible for the team dedicated to driving a purpose lead and consistent brand that helps Australians navigate life and their finances.
Career highlights to date include the delivery of Westpac’s 200 year anniversary, two major rebrands and leadership of community initiatives with the Westpac Foundation. She has led many successful projects delivering improved customer experience, including a new brand experience touchpoint audit and redesign for Westpac.

With a background in agency planning, Claire favours a strategic, consumer focused approach to building engaging brands. She is known for challenging the norm and her passion for strong, simple and distinctive creative work.

Her love of advertising stems from her time at world-class agencies including TBWA/Hunt/Lascaris and Jack Morton. Her experience spans both categories and continents and includes brands such as Telstra, Nissan, the National Lottery and the South African Department of Health working on their HIV Strategy. She delivered 2 Effie award winning campaigns at her time in in TBWA and was recognised into the role of Lead Planning Director, and has lead streams for the multi award winning life moments work for Westpac.

Claire is community orientated and gravitates towards helping children and empowering women. She is an avid traveller, and has spent time living, working and exploring the world.
She loves good wine, ocean swims, a good book and is perpetually renovating her home. As a mum to three wonderful and busy children she is more often than not stumbling over Lego pieces and helping with homework. Above all, Claire is grateful for her husband Mike – her favourite person to share a bottle of wine with, and her biggest supporter.
