Clare Stewart-Hunt, Head of Client Services – Gemba

Clare is an empathetic and supportive leader, with a strong desire to nurture creativity and innovation, and drive commercial results for business. Clare has a passion for people and her team. She genuinely cares about their welfare and development, recognises and addresses the specific needs of people in specific moments of their life, while providing absolute transparency.

As the Head of Client Services at Gemba, Clare is responsible for leading the account management team and working closely with the creative department to deliver brilliant campaigns for Australia’s biggest sport and entertainment partnerships.

To date Clare’s career highlights at Gemba include growing the account management division’s net revenue by 40%, leading successful pitches for Westpac, Sanitarium and Transport for NSW, and co-writing Gemba’s flexible workplace and return-to-work parent policies. She has led many successful projects, such as Toyota’s “Celebrating Celebrations” cricket campaign which surpassed KPIs for brand consideration and won APMA Star Awards. Clare was also recognised as the inaugural winner of the Dojo Award for exemplifying Gemba’s values and vision. This resulted in her travelling to London for the Rugby World Cup and meetings with senior industry executives.

Before she worked in sports marketing, Clare spent ten years in adland learning her craft at blue-chip agencies Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy (NZ), EHS Brann (UK) and Mojo. She worked across a wide range of categories including automotive, FMCG, finance, retail and government, with clients such as CommSec, Qantas and David Jones.

Outside the office, Clare loves all things sport, especially playing netball and lacrosse. In 2019, she took a six month career break to travel the world with her husband, experiencing art and architecture, enjoying nature and delicious food and wine. This experience gave her a new perspective and focus, that she’s ready to bring to the Marketing Academy.
