Laura Nice, Managing Director – OMD Sydney

Laura is currently Managing Director of OMD Sydney, having worked for Omnicom Media Group for over 10 years in both the London and Sydney offices. Having recently ‘boomeranged’ back to Sydney from the UK, Laura has quickly established herself as a progressive, collaborative and energetic leader and is considered a key talent and rising star within the OMG global network.

Her open and honest approach has helped Laura quickly form strong and effective relationships within OMD and the wider network. Her passion and drive to deliver growth for their people and clients has ensured continual positive business outcomes for OMD’s clients.

Laura’s experience and expertise saw her appointed as the Executive client lead on OMD’s major clients – Telstra and McDonalds – two of Australia’s largest and progressive clients.

With a 17-year international career, Laura has gained wide category experience across telecommunications, pharmaceutical, automotive, finance, FMCG, gambling, retail, lottery and utilities. Since the start of her career Laura has quickly risen through the ranks but isn’t afraid to instigate career trajectory change to ensure she continues to learn and develop new and different facets of marketing. An example of this was Laura’s tenure at Annalect UK (OMG’s data, technology and analytics division) where she put herself forward for the Group Head of Consultancy and Development across the Omnicom agency group. A pivotal role taking Laura out of her comfort zone to learn new skills, work with different talent and to simplify the language of data and technology to deliver a richer and more meaningful impact to agency and client businesses.

Each category and role have offered different challenges, perspectives and opportunities which has driven and fuelled the success of Laura’s dynamic career.
