Niki Allen, Senior Manager, Innovation Design – First State Super

Niki was appointed Senior Manager, Innovation Design at First State Super in 2019. In her current role, she develops offer strategies and customer propositions to deliver customer-centric superannuation, retirement and advice solutions, ultimately improving investment outcomes for everyday Australians.

Prior to First State Super, Niki was the Head of Marketing, Pendal Group (formerly BT Investment Management) for eight years. In this role, she was responsible for driving the development and delivery of marketing activity that supported all business channels, including institutional, adviser, retail and high net worth clients. This encompassed a full range of marketing disciplines including marketing strategy and planning, brand management, digital integration, campaign and communications management and execution, public relations, and investor relations.

Prior to Pendal Group, Niki held several positions at MLC, first as Loyalty Manager, Product & Services where she developed and executed customer retention initiatives across multiple channels, and later as Senior Marketing Manager, Investments, and Senior Marketing Manager, Insurance where she was responsible for developing multi-channel, integrated adviser and consumer campaigns across customer touch-points for investment and insurance products respectively.

Prior to this Niki held positions across financial services, engineering consulting and the energy sector.

Niki holds a Diploma of Financial Services, a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University and a Bachelor of Engineering (Environmental) (Hons 1) from the University of New South Wales. She is certified in Human-Centred Design and a Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute.
