Pamela Bishop, General Manager Merchandise and Marketing – Blooms The Chemist

Pamela Bishop is GM of Merchandise and Marketing for Blooms The Chemist, a retail pharmacy business with over 100 stores across Australia. In her role, Pamela leads a cross-functional team who are responsible for B2B and B2C marketing, cause related marketing, category management, procurement, supplier relationships, and commercial trading terms. She also oversees the online business in China, leads major events, is the company media spokesperson, and sits on the company leadership team.

Pamela is a highly driven individual who enjoys leading teams, collaboration, CSR, and change management. She is data-driven and customer centric, and leans on market research to better understand customer behaviours and trends. Applying an authentic and democratic leadership style, she empowers her team to make decisions and solve problems. She encourages collaboration and creativity, and aims to foster a candid culture where feedback can occur regularly in a respectful way.

Pamela is a naturally curious individual who takes personal development seriously. In recent years she completed an MBA (Executive) to improve her business acumen, and she became a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She is an avid supporter of female empowerment in the workplace and encourges others to reach their full potential.

Pamela was born and raised in Ireland and has lived in Australia since 2006. She believes it is important to give back and aims to do this both in her personal life, and at work. Outside of work, Pamela loves spending time with her family and friends. She is a keen traveller and has benefited from amazing experiences around the world. When she’s not globe-trotting, she can be found enjoying the beautiful Gold Coast where she is fortunate to live with her husband and son.
