The Marketing Academy cohort of 30 marketing leaders showcase 9 months of learning with free industry Lecture

The Marketing Academy has announced that it is to hold its ‘2016 SHOWCASE LECTURE’ on 27th October 2016 in Sydney. This special event will conclude the Marketing Academy’s 2016 Programme prior to the graduation of the Academy’s 30 strong cohort.

Sherilyn Shackell, Founder & CEO of The Marketing Academy says, “We’re delighted to have our next group of Australian marketing leaders share their views on leadership and the future of marketing in Australia. For everyone in marketing, media or working within an agency, come along to hear how you too can lead marketing’s contribution in the boardrooms of the future.”

The Lecture will include a series of content-rich presentations and lively panel discussions sharing how today’s progressive marketing leaders are approaching culture, harnessing passion and utilising authentic leadership as means to improve performance, people engagement and commercial results.

The Marketing Academy’s Class of 2016 who will be sharing their experience at the Lecture include; Sergio Brodsky, Strategy Director Starcom; Gabi Conlon, Head of Consumer Marketing Aus and NZ Google; Gemma Hunter, ECD and Head of Mediacom Beyond Advertising; Tina Walsberger, Head of Marketing and Consumer Services Sydney Festival; Andrew Howie, Group Marketing Manager Meat & Livestock Australia and Claire Salvetti, Managing Director, One Green Bean.

The Showcase Lecture marks the close of The Marketing Academy’s 2016 Programme, an annual 9 month programme sponsored this year by Foxtel, Google, Commonwealth Bank and NewsCorp Australia. It’s also the penultimate event of their 2016 Lecture Series – lectures designed specifically for the programme delegates and sponsored in 2016 by Kmart, Clemenger, IAG, Macquarie University, Seven West Media and Sydney Opera House 

The Marketing Academy is a non-profit and voluntary organisation who develop leadership capability in talented marketers from the Marketing, Media, Advertising and Communications industries through mentoring, coaching and experiential learning.
