The Marketing Academy reveals the inaugural US Scholarship Class

During an exclusive party in New York City, The Marketing Academy US announced the cohort of marketing executives selected for the very first year of their coveted Scholarship Program.

With over 400 Alumni around the world The Marketing Academy is renowned for its rigorous 3-stage selection process which includes a 3 part application, pitches and panel interviews. In the case of the USA this process saw over 300 emerging leaders from client side brands, media owners, agencies compete for just 30 scholarship places.

This free development program is designed to utilize the collective knowledge of the industry to develop the Scholars skills and prepare them for their journey towards senior level business leaders. Global Alumni of the program describe the Scholarship as ‘a once in a lifetime opportunity’, ‘transformational’ and ‘life changing’.

The prestigious Scholarship Program, funded in the US by lead sponsor Salesforce, along with The Wall Street Journal, Mars Wrigley Confectionery, Delta Air Lines, Facebook, KFC Global and Deloitte, includes one-to-one mentoring with an enviable line up of over 60 industry Mentors including; Catherine Tan – Global CMO of KFC Yum Brands, Philippe Krakowsky Chairman and CEO of IPG Mediabrands, Claudine Cheever Global GM Marketing & Advertising of Amazon, Nick Law Chief Creative Officer of Publicis, Ronalee Zarate-Bayani, CMO of the LA Rams and Spiros Fotinos, Global Head of Brand Management & Marketing of Lexus International to name just a few.

In addition to the mentoring Scholars are each assigned an Executive Coach provided by Tenshey, attend 3 residential ‘Boot Camps’ packed with inspirational speakers and experience Lectures hosted by renowned subject matter experts.

Speaking of the selection process, Academy Founder Sherilyn Shackell said ‘I’m delighted that the industry in America has embraced the program so widely. At a time when trust is low in every context and the need for results has never been higher it’s so exciting to see the entire industry unite in developing the leaders of our future in such an egalitarian, collaborative, philanthropic and generous way. The calibre of the marketing talent in the States is extraordinary and I cannot wait to watch the first US Scholarship class as the program empowers them to be the best they can possibly become.
