The Marketing Academy UK announces the 30 emerging leaders selected for their 2021 Scholarship Program

The Marketing Academy UK has revealed the cohort of marketing executives selected for their coveted Scholarship Program. This is the Academy’s 12th Scholarship in the UK and 21st globally with over 600 Alumni frequently describing the Scholarship Program as ‘transformational’ and ‘life changing’.

With a record number of applications the selection process saw over 700 emerging leaders from client-side brands, media owners and agencies nominated for just 30 Scholarship places. Although highly selective, the Program is free and is designed to utilise the collective knowledge of the industry to develop the Scholars skills and prepare them for their journey towards senior and board level business leaders. The UK Scholarship is funded by partners Salesforce, KFC, ITV, Accenture Interactive, PHD, Mars Wrigley and BT.

The comprehensive curriculum includes one-to-one mentoring with an enviable line up of board level executives including; Kathryn Jacob – CEO of Pearl & Dean, Debora Koyama – Global Growth Operations Officer at Unilever, Annette King – CEO of Publicis Groupe UK, Nina Bibby – CMO of Telefonica O2, Martin George – Customer Director of John Lewis & Partners, Sarah Warby – CMO of Nando’s and Nick Robinson – CEO of Kerry Group to name just a few.

In addition to the mentoring, Scholars are each assigned an Executive Coach brought together by Wisdom8, attend residential ‘Boot Camps’ packed with inspirational speakers, masterclasses hosted by renowned subject matter experts and leadership modules delivered by The Living Leader.

Discussing the 3 stage, 4 month selection process The Marketing Academy Founder & Global CEO, Sherilyn Shackell, said: “Every year we find ourselves in awe of the quality of talent in the UK but the record number and calibre of applications this year made the final decisions extremely challenging for our selection panel. As tough as it was, we’re thrilled with the outcome and cannot wait to start working with this fabulous cohort at their first Boot Camp in June.”

Each Scholar will also be able to invite 10 of their peers and team members to enrol in The Marketing Academy Virtual Campus, a powerful development program designed for the Academy’s community of Alumni, Partners, Mentors, Coaches and their teams. This recently launched program has over 4600 people enrolled around the world.
