Ahmed Darwish is currently the Chief Marketing Officer of New England Sports Network (NESN), the broadcasting and streaming home of the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, and so much more.
Darwish is responsible for leading marketing and digital efforts across the organization, including launching and overseeing NESN 360, the first-ever RSN (regional sports network) direct-to-consumer offering in the country. In partnership with Boston Globe Media, he has also launched Boston Globe Today, a fresh show bringing award-winning journalism to life on television and streaming, across the NESN ecosystem and Globe.com.
He joined NESN after four years at STARZ | Lionsgate, where he oversaw the entire STARZ DTC customer experience globally and grew the business 15x. Prior to joining STARZ, Darwish was a consultant at McKinsey & Company in New York City. At McKinsey, he advised corporate and private equity clients in the consumer tech, media, and entertainment space on topics including M&A, growth strategy, marketing and sales, content strategy, and product. Previously, he worked in advanced analytics at DIRECTV and in litigation consulting where he served international media organizations.
Darwish earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, where he was a Consortium Fellow. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California, where he was a Resident Honors Scholar, a Dean’s Scholarship recipient, and the Baccalaureate Ceremony Student Speaker.
