Alex is responsible for the Marketing strategy and communications for all WB’s film product launched in the UK, across the Theatrical, and Home Entertainment digital and physical windows, including Catalogue. She also runs marketing for all WBIE’s Games products, across both New Release and Catalogue. And she co-manages the UK’s Franchise, Customer Marketing, and Creative Services teams, alongside the SVP Marketing, UK ITVD Sales.
Alex’s background is big media and entertainment companies.
Before joining WB, she was Marketing Director, The Times and The Sunday Times. She was responsible for marketing the successful and much talked about launch of the two titles behind the digital ‘pay wall’, which resulted in smashed targets and yoy growth for the first time in 7 years.
Prior to News International, she was at Sky as Director of Marketing & Communications (2006-2009), responsible for driving subscriptions and increasing viewing figures across Sky 1, 2, 3, Sky Movies, Sky Box Office, Sky Real Lives and Sky Arts.
Previous experience also includes launching the UK’s leading directory enquiries service, 118118, as Marketing Director – the 118 ‘runners’ helped establish the company as market leader overnight. And Alex was a founding partner at Myrtle, a communications agency with clients such as Orange, Hewlett Packard, The Big Issue, and Breakingviews.com.
Outside work Alex is a passionate photographer, a keen walker and a reluctant but regular sea swimmer!
