Alex is an executive with a proven track record in building and inspiring high-performing teams and in successfully driving Digital & Technology Transformation in large and complex organizations.

He brings extensive expertise in Direct-to-Consumer, Data platforms & Analytics, ERP, Cybersecurity, Technology Architecture, and Digital Product Management and was awarded CIO100 in 2024.

Alex holds a master’s in business administration (MBA) from the University of Iowa and a master’s in finance and accounting from the University of Frankfurt. In 2023, Alex graduated from the Director Development Program at the Hawkamah Institute of Governance, DIFC Dubai.

Career Highlights:

  • Alex currently serves as Chief Digital Information Officer at Kerzner International in Dubai, where he is responsible for technology strategy and digital transformation across all Kerzner hotel brands (Atlantis, One&Only, SIRO, Rare Finds) and 17,000+ employees.
  • From 2023 till 2025, he served as Chief Digital & Technology Officer at Modon based in Abu Dhabi, where he was responsible for Digital Transformation and Technology strategy for all affiliated companies in the UAE, the UK, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Morocco, and 11,000+ employees.
  • In 2021 and 2022, Alex was part of the Executive Leadership team at Education Perfect, that sold the EdTech scale-up to KKR for USD 250m.
  • From 2015 till 2020, Alex served as SVP Digital at Emirates Airlines, being responsible for all customer facing digital channels, for Product Management, Web & Mobile Development, Digital Analytics & Data and Digital Marketing. Key achievements include designing and developing the award-winning Emirates App, modernizing key technologies, and developing a comprehensive customer data platform for marketing.
  • Alex’s leadership journey began at Qantas Airlines in 2007, where he served as Vice President of Distribution and Commercial Systems for the low-cost carrier, Jetstar.

The program is free but highly selective so firstly we ask senior business leaders working within Marketing, Media and Advertising to nominate the best of their emerging leaders for a place on the program. All ‘nominees’ then receive an ‘Invitation to Apply’ which includes essential information about the process.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE GLOBAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM 2026 ARE OPEN

Applicants may apply to EITHER cohort regardless of country of residence, but must commit to attend both Residential dates & the Virtual day of their chosen cohort. Attendance is mandatory and a condition of acceptance onto the program.
