Alexander Tomlin, SVP, Head of Marketing, Bacardi North America

Alex Tomlin is SVP, Head of Marketing at Bacardi North America, the world’s largest family-owned spirits company marketing industry-leading brands such as Bacardi Rum, Patron Tequila, Grey Goose Vodka, Bombay Sapphire and Angel’s Envy Bourbon. In this role he oversees all activity and resource across Brand Marketing, Customer Marketing, Innovation, D-Com and D2C in the US & Canada.

His personal purpose is to inspire, shape and build a better future. He is energized by helping others see things differently in a way that unlocks transformational growth and has a track record of building high performing and diverse teams.

Alex has been a General Manager, Head of innovation and Head of Marketing and has experience operating in both developed and emerging markets across Europe, Latin America, Australia, Asia Pacific and North America over a nearly 30-year career. He’s worked at large public companies, family-owned companies and has experience of running his own brand & innovation consultancy.

An alum of the University of Sheffield, UK, Alex has furthered his education in the US with MIT and at Harvard Business School.

Born and educated in England, he is a citizen of Australia and a citizen of the US. Married to Gina with 3 school & University-age children, his office is based in Coral Gables, Miami where the sun always shines and where the Mojito reigns supreme.

The program is free but highly selective so firstly we ask senior business leaders working within Marketing, Media and Advertising to nominate the best of their emerging leaders for a place on the program. All ‘nominees’ then receive an ‘Invitation to Apply’ which includes essential information about the process.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE GLOBAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM 2026 ARE OPEN

Applicants may apply to EITHER cohort regardless of country of residence, but must commit to attend both Residential dates & the Virtual day of their chosen cohort. Attendance is mandatory and a condition of acceptance onto the program.
