Alin Dobrea, Director, Marketing Solutions – ZALORA

Alin Dobrea is a marketing and technology leader with over 13 years of experience. As the Marketing Director at Global Fashion Group (GFG), he oversees ZAP, a cutting-edge marketing unit that offers innovative solutions to brands and advertisers across APAC. Before that, he spent most of his career at Marks & Spencer in London, managing brand and marketing campaigns across the UK and international markets.

Outside of his professional career, Alin is a guest lecturer, speaker, and mentor to start-ups on the topics of marketing, growth, and e-commerce. He is also an active volunteer with the Global Shapers Community of the World Economic Forum and active member of Adweek, APAC Marketers and CMO Club communities.

Outside of work, Alin enjoys being active – likes to travel to new places, plays tennis & beach volleyball weekly and also enjoys strength training and surfing. Alin is driven by his philosophy of being 1% better every day and tries to embody the growth mindset throughout all aspects of his life.

Alin graduated with a Master of Science with Distinction from the University of Birmingham in the UK, and studied abroad at Beijing Normal University and the University of Delhi.

The program is free but highly selective so firstly we ask senior business leaders working within Marketing, Media and Advertising to nominate the best of their emerging leaders for a place on the program. All ‘nominees’ then receive an ‘Invitation to Apply’ which includes essential information about the process.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE GLOBAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM 2026 ARE OPEN

Applicants may apply to EITHER cohort regardless of country of residence, but must commit to attend both Residential dates & the Virtual day of their chosen cohort. Attendance is mandatory and a condition of acceptance onto the program.
