Andy spent 18 years at drinks company Diageo, working in local, regional and global roles. From 2008 to 2015 he was a member of the Global Executive Committee as Chief Marketing Officer and then President of the Africa region. The share price tripled during his tenure as CMO where he was responsible for global sales, marketing and innovation. Africa was the fastest growing Diageo region during Andy’s time leading the team there.
In 2015, Andy embarked on a portfolio career. These days half of his time is spent as Chairman/NED for PE backed scale up businesses. The other half is spent as founder of Drinks Sherpa, a business that advises and invests in disruptive drinks start ups.
Andy lived in the USA for a number of years and now resides in his home country, the UK.
He is married to Ellie and has 5 kids
