Ant Dureau, Managing Director – The Customer People

Ant is a strategic and transformational executive leader with extensive experience across iconic Australian and international brands in Financial Services, Entertainment, E-Commerce, Aged Care, Hospitality, Real Estate and Telecommunications.

He is the Managing Director of The Customer People, a consultancy focused on delivering market-leading customer outcomes through data-driven strategies, high-performance leadership and sustainable growth. After three successful years supporting Entertainment, Media and Software companies across Africa, the UAE, the UK and Australia, Ant joined Sky TV in New Zealand as Chief Customer Officer, where he led the satellite migration program, helped shape the long-term product strategy and diversified revenues through an expanded focus on advertising and commercial partnerships.

Most recently, Ant has taken on the role of Interim Chief Executive Officer for Southern Cross Care NSW & ACT, stepping down from
his position as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the People and Culture Committee to lead the organisation through a critical period of transition while the Board appoints a new CEO. In this capacity, he is guiding digital transformation initiatives, rebuilding the organisation’s brand and market position, and overseeing implementation of the new Aged Care Act in an environment of heightened regulatory governance.

In parallel, Ant works as a strategic consultant with Sourse AI, an AI innovator whose Atlas decision intelligence platform helps subscription businesses, particularly telcos, centralise and enrich customer data, simulate decisions and optimise the customer lifecycle. In this capacity he supports TPG (Australia), 2degrees (New Zealand) and StarHub (Singapore) to structure their data, deploy advanced decisioning engines and translate AI-driven insights into commercial outcomes across pricing, retention, growth and advertising revenue.

Previously, Ant held senior leadership positions as Chief Customer Officer at AMP and General Manager of Marketing and Retail Sales at Vodafone, where he led large-scale transformation programs that embedded customer-centric decision-making and delivered measurable business outcomes in high-pressure, highly regulated sectors. Earlier in his career, he founded and led MyPillow Ltd, a UK-based e-commerce business that achieved rapid and sustained growth under his leadership.

Ant holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing and Hospitality Management) and is a Certified Practising Marketer with the Australian Marketing Institute. He is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is active in developing future leaders through mentoring with the Australian Marketing Institute and The Marketing Academy. He is driven by a belief that great organisations are built by empowering people—creating the conditions for teams to take ownership, grow their capabilities and deliver meaningful impact for customers and communities.”
