Anuj is a classically-trained brand marketer passionate about developing those around him to unleash their potential and launching new products for millions of consumers to enjoy. He loves using data and consumer insights to grow brands alongside inspired teams. Anuj has been lucky to push the boundaries on some of the world’s most iconic brands including Johnnie Walker, Absolut and Old Spice.
He is currently a Senior Brand Manager at Pernod Ricard, a global wine and spirits company. He works on the Agave portfolio and is focused on spearheading the turnaround for Avión, an award-winning tequila. He strives to be an empowering and inclusive people leader/champion, learning from and elevating those around him. He enjoys bringing others together by planning celebrations around cultural holidays through the company’s Asian ERG.
He previously served as Senior Brand Manager on Malibu Rum where he led long-term brand strategy and innovation including the Malibu Peach launch. Prior to Malibu, Anuj was the Absolut Brand Manager where he developed an award-winning Coachella activation blending an on-site footprint with the metaverse and led a breakthrough Espresso Martini program with Kahlua. Before Pernod, Anuj worked on Diageo’s flagship brand Johnnie Walker. He ignited growth by cementing Blue Label’s status as the gift of choice. Anuj started his career at Procter & Gamble’s HQ in Cincinnati where he worked on Old Spice & Gillette.
Anuj graduated from Duke University with a degree in Economics and loves cheering on the Blue Devils when they play in NYC. He spends his free time practicing yoga, playing tennis, scuba diving, hosting loved ones for cocktails, facetiming his niece, tending to the jungle growing in his apartment and searching for the best pizza in the city. He clearly has a lot of free time.
