Avi Laufer is the Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer of Strauss Israel, the country’s second-largest food and beverage company. He is responsible for shaping and leading the company’s long-term strategic agenda and marketing vision, driving sustainable growth, brand equity, and competitive advantage across a broad portfolio of categories and leading brands.
Avi has been with Strauss for 18 years, holding a range of senior leadership roles spanning marketing, strategy, and business development. Prior to his current role, he served as CEO of Strauss Coffee Israel, the country’s largest coffee company, where he led the business end-to-end, strengthening brand leadership while delivering strong growth and profitability in a highly competitive market.
Earlier in his career at Strauss, Avi served as Marketing Director of Strauss Dairies, the company’s largest business unit and a joint venture with Danone, and as Strategy Director at Strauss Group headquarters, where he played a central role in defining corporate strategy, portfolio priorities, and growth platforms.
Before joining Strauss, Avi worked as a strategy consultant at Accenture, based in both the Tel Aviv and Madrid offices.
He holds a BSc in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, an MBA from Tel Aviv University, and is a graduate of the Lahav Directors Program. He is also an alumnus of the MAOZ Fellowship, Israel’s leading national leadership program.
Avi is married to Nirit and is the father of Dani, Ilay, and Kim. Outside of work, he enjoys skiing, hiking and stand-up paddling and is a certified skipper.
