Batool is an SVP Integrated Strategist at CDM New York, a healthcare advertising agency. She works across multiple therapies for large pharmaceutical clients, having launched many lifechanging brands both in the US and globally. During her career in healthcare advertising, Batool has worked on many blockbuster brands such as Viagra, Victoza, Keytruda, Xarelto and Prolia.
Batool has had an unconventional path to advertising which started by attaining her master’s and PhD in the fields of Forensic Science and Regenerative Medicine. Initially serving brands through a medical and scientific capacity, Batool worked hard to break through silos and earn the skillset to become a one-of-a-kind brand planner, eventually leading her teams to several significant new business wins across the network. Her diverse skillset allowed her to work seamlessly with doctors, key opinion leaders and patients to build powerful, stand-out brands, eventually bringing her to the US.
Being a great believer that career-paths do not have to be linear, she has worked in several high-profile roles across the industry including business development, PR and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) to hone her skills. Today, Batool is highly respected across her network as someone dedicated to driving change both at an organizational and a product level.
In addition to client work, Batool works with leaders across Omnicom Health Group on DEI initiatives that drive towards a more equitable workforce. In her spare time, she is also committed to helping overcome inequity in healthcare and is also launching a new company to cater to the needs of skin of color patients.
