Benjamin Montague, Head of Brand, Integrated Campaigns & Experiences, APAC – IBM

I’m passionate about creating compelling stories that meaningfully connect brands with their audiences. Stories that ignite the imagination and shift perspectives.

As Head of Brand, Integrated Campaigns & Experiences for IBM across Asia Pacific, I currently lead a diverse team responsible for enhancing IBM’s reputation through branded content, advertising, social media, influencer marketing, brand strategy, design and experiences.

I thrive on challenging the status quo and never stop asking questions. Over the past eleven years, this has helped me grow from a fresh graduate building websites and creating content for social media to managing multimillion dollar advertising budgets and now a respected executive managing, motivating and leading a regional team.

It’s my belief that a rich diversity of perspectives lead to more creative ideas and experiences. Through a human-centred approach, I work to cultivate an inclusive culture where norms are challenged and ideas flow.

Beyond my day job, I am also passionate about supporting and empowering the LGBTQ+ community. To this end, I currently serve as Co-Chair of IBM’s LGBTQ+ Employee Diversity Group across Australia and New Zealand, leading a diverse and cross-functional team to strengthen our culture of allyship and inclusion and position IBM as the LGBTQ+ employer of choice. Beyond this, I also support the board of GiveOut, a charitable organisation focused on supporting, promoting and growing the capacity and funding of LGBTQ+ organisations, projects and events.
