Brittany Brown, VP, Consumer Planning, Global Smirnoff, Diageo

Brittany is currently Director of Innovation – Ideation at Diageo North America where she leads competitive consumer, brand, product, and business strategies across the industry’s fastest growing categories, including total whiskey, tequila, gin, vodka, liqueurs, and special projects on both existing and new to world brands.

Brittany has been with Diageo for 7+ years during which she successfully led the re-positioning of the company’s biggest and most successful trademarks including Crown Royal, Baileys and Bulleit.

Prior to Diageo, Brittany helped lead winning new business pitch teams and a successful start-up, shaping consumer insights, campaign development and brand strategies across a range of sectors including tech, pharma, energy, entertainment, retail, food and beverage.

Brittany holds a Master’s in Mass Communication from the VCU Bandcenter and a B.A. in Leadership Studies and Philosophy from University of Richmond. In recent years she has amassed certificates from various programs offered by Harvard Business School online.

Brittany is a driven Marketer, known for both rigor and flair. She’s committed to ensuring marketing and innovation is additive to our lives, society, and culture. She’s inspired to craft marketing that’s worthy of people’s time and to create beautiful, compelling brands that are powerful because they are purposeful.

When not shaping the future of brands and businesses, Brittany can be found ogling at the marvel of mother nature at botanical gardens, farms and vineyards near and far, road tripping to art exhibits up and down I95, dreaming up how to responsibly rid the world of cardboard box overload and spending quality time with her husband, two dogs and daughter in their Brooklyn backyard, most likely under a blanket no matter the weather.
