Cam leads new business and marketing for The&Partnership across North America. The&Partnership unites media and creative into dedicated client teams, making creative more insightfully informed and media more creatively applied. Business development is sometimes seen as the thankless role: part project management, part sales, part strategy, part marketing, all hustle, and usually a fairly large dose of disappointment through losses. But with an ambidextrous mind, Cam loves the variability and dynamism of the job. Creating contexts for others’ success is his passion; nothing is more rewarding than colleagues creating great work that they (and their clients) are proud of.
Prior to landing at The&Partnership, Cam was fortunate enough to be on WPP’s Fellowship program, touring three different disciplines across three different years. He spent time in brand strategy and research (Kantar), digital content (Wunderman), and media partnerships (VICE) learning about one small slice of the overall marketing pie each time. The Fellowship gave Cam an understanding that today’s marketing challenges require multidisciplinary thinkers to answer them.
Cam is a firm believer in the relevance and importance of advertising. Not just the ‘good for the world’ work (although he has spent time in Brazil working for an educational NGO and advises for a Ghanaian children’s book publisher) but also the work that helps businesses to grow, hire and support their staff, serving their customers to the best of their ambitions. Advertising has garnered a bad rep recently, but it’s role in helping to build a more equitable economy has never been more overt.
He’s a voracious reader, deciding to spend three years of university education devouring novels, plays, and poetry as an English student in Exeter. Britain is his home, but New York is his life.
