Carey Baldwin is The News Movement’s Chief Growth Officer.
In her role she is responsible for driving commercial growth across the organization.
Previously she has led a global sales team at Storyful, a social media news agency specializing in identifying mis and dis information. There she helped brands leverage social and digital media intelligence in order to identify strategic growth opportunities and mitigate reputational challenges.
In her roles, she has partnered with agencies and brands in the US, EMEA and APAC to create compelling campaigns and manage ongoing issues and crises born on or amplified through social media.
Formerly of Thomson Reuters, and the Reuters news agency, she has started incubator teams that grew to global enterprise departments.
Carey began her career as a broadcast journalist for CBS.
She is a graduate of The Marketing Academy’s Scholarship Leadership Program and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Vermont.
Throughout her career she has led teams and mentored young men and women both inside and outside of her organizations and through the start-up accelerator, MassChallenge. She has also held various board seats at education and youth sports non-profit organizations. She splits her time between New York City and Boston and enjoys traveling, skiing and hiking with her two sons William and Teddy.
