Chris Murphy, General Manager – The Hallway Performance Digital

Chris leads the Performance Digital arm of The Hallway Group and is responsible for driving digital marketing excellence across a range of clients such as GWM Haval, BINGE (Part of Foxtel) and Tourism Fiji.

Prior to joining The Hallway, Chris was the Engagement Lead at Wunderman Thompson where he led the Global KitKat “Snap out of it” campaign which aired across 10 countries internationally.

This was preceded by his first role in Australia as a Senior Account Manager at BWM Dentsu. Here, he launched the Toyota C-HR locally and managed the Qantas account including launching ‘The Passport Take-off’ campaign, which was highly awarded and deemed one of Qantas’ most profitable campaigns ever.

Before being head hunted to relocate to Australia, Chris was the youngest pan-European Account Manager at Saatchi and Saatchi London where he rolled out multilingual campaigns for Toyota, which included the launch of the RAV4 Hybrid and the All-New C-HR.

He is now a passionate advocate for graduate employment in the creative industry and in 2021 launched ‘Sh*t. What now?’, a YouTube channel designed to help young people break into the industry. He interviews the top minds in the industry across a range of roles for insights and career tips to help guide the next generation of marketing and advertising industry leaders.

His contribution to the industry has been widely recognised and in 2021, he was shortlisted for the B&T 30 under 30, awarded ‘Highly Commended’ for the Mumbrella ‘Under-30 Achiever of the year’ and was named as one of AdNews’ Emerging Leaders of 2021.

Outside of work, he is an avid rugby player with International caps across both codes for The Philippines and is not looking to retire anytime soon.
