Chris is a Senior Brand Manager at Unilever, where has responsible for the P&L and equity of the largest male skin cleansing brand in the United States, Dove Men+Care. A pragmatic leader, Chris takes pride in achieving results by taking a data-driven approach and focusing on fundamentals. He’s been at the helm of the Dove Men+Care for two years, a rocketship phase for the brand where it has achieved record top-line and competitive growth. In this capacity, he has also been able to hone his leadership and management skills.
Before Dove Men+Care, Chris worked on a variety of brands within Unilever including Degree Deodorant, Magnum Ice Cream, and recent-Unilever acquisition, Schmidt’s Naturals. On Schmidt’s, he led an agile team in Portland and New York to launch the nascent Deodorant brand into adjacent categories like Body Wash, Oral Care, and Home Care. He recounts his time on Schmidt’s very risk-oriented with learnings aplenty.
Prior to his tenure at Unilever, Chris graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with his MBA. His time in Berkeley was spent in leadership roles for various groups on campus including the MBA Association, Marketing Association, and Q at Haas. In between studies and extracurriculars, he took advantage of the year-round temperate weather that the Bay Area offered.
Chris started his career in Finance at HarperCollins Publishers, ascending to Director before leaving to pursue his MBA. Though making the career switch to marketing, he still relies heavily on the skills acquired within his finance track at HarperCollins, hence the data-driven approach he takes to his roles now.
Chris resides in New York and enjoys spending time with his friends and family.
