Colin has a consistent track record of achieving challenging commercial targets, through successful teams and within companies with a range of ownership models: entrepreneur-owned SMEs, listed corporations, private equity owned businesses.
As Sales & Marketing Director on the Center Parcs(UK) Operating Board for several years, Colin has a broad commercial remit, covering sales, marketing, customer experience, revenue management, business analytics, PR and brand strategy. He has played a fundamental role in the UK’s leading family short break operator achieving such a sustained period of growth and success; built on a strong brand, team ethos, strategic and astute investment and an emphasis on quality and innovation.
In 2019, after a period of research, planning, design and construction, Center Parcs opened Longford Forest in Ireland – the go-to-market strategy led by Colin’s team was pivotal to achieving high brand awareness and instant commercial success.
Colin spent his formative years at British Airways. As a graduate entry he gained broad experience in several departments, going on to head up BA’s Leisure Marketing, before being appointed as Head of Sales and Marketing at BA Holidays.
Colin experienced life in smaller entrepreneurial businesses and the need to build value in preparation for sale, when he moved to the position of Marketing Director for the long-haul holiday specialist, Travelbag and on to their subsequent owners, online travel agent, ebookers.
Colin is a huge advocate for the power of the brand, both within a business and in generating customer loyalty and commercial success. Equally he puts integrated insight at the heart of decision-making and has championed the transformation of the marketing technology infrastructure to revolutionise future digital and data capability at Center Parcs.
