Dalkaji Gurung, SEO Business Director, PHD UK

Dalkaji Gurung’s passion lies in turbocharging business growth through SEO. She is a highly skilled SEO expert with over a decade of experience in digital marketing. Currently, she is an SEO Business Director at PHD UK, a global media and communications agency. In her role, she drives new businesses and oversees organic strategies for various clients across different industries, including Volkswagen Group, Warner Brothers, and Guardian.

At PHD UK, she leads a team of seven individuals. One of her primary focuses is to help each team member reach their full potential by establishing well-defined goals and providing consistent coaching, mentoring, and personalised training plans. During her one-year tenure at PHD UK, she has been instrumental in driving growth in new business opportunities by establishing strong client relationships and fostering inter-agency collaboration. Her excellent interpersonal skills have allowed her to strengthen key relationships with stakeholders across the Omnicom Group, resulting in a stream of new business collaborations. Dalkaji’s ability to identify opportunities, lead conversations, and create new frameworks is already showing a significant impact on the team and the rest of the business. As a result, she was promoted to the SEO Business Director role only 7 months after joining PHD UK.

Prior to joining PHD UK, Dalkaji worked with a number of national and international brands and won the prestigious “Best use of Search – Retail/E-commerce (SEO) UK” at the UK Search Awards.

Dalkaji is also passionate about growth mindset and empowering others and is part of the Omnicom Asian Leaders Circle. She continuously pushes boundaries, both at work and in her personal life. For instance, despite juggling a full-time career and two teenage kids all alone, she trained and ran her first London Marathon in 7 hours, raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society.

The program is free but highly selective so firstly we ask senior business leaders working within Marketing, Media and Advertising to nominate the best of their emerging leaders for a place on the program. All ‘nominees’ then receive an ‘Invitation to Apply’ which includes essential information about the process.

Applicants may apply to EITHER cohort regardless of country of residence, but must commit to attend both Residential dates & the Virtual day of their chosen cohort. Attendance is mandatory and a condition of acceptance onto the program.
