Daniel Mark Carr, Head of Marketing, HealthHero

Daniel Mark Carr, or DMC as he is known to most, is a brand and marketing leader with a knack for challenging norms, reshaping consumer perspectives, and creating impactful change across the domains of health, wellness, and stimulation.

Currently the Marketing Director of Releaf, Daniel is at the helm of transforming the UK’s legal medical cannabis sector. Leading a team to build the UK’s only all-in-one, integrated medical cannabis clinic, he’s not just driving awareness across the UK; he’s championing patients and their health, infusing compassion into every campaign. Additionally, Daniel sits on the Board of the KFC Foundation, where he works to make chicken do good by empowering young people across the country to pursue their aspirations.

Daniel has taken a path less travelled and has worked across a variety of industries – from reshaping perceptions of sexual wellness to advocating for intimate hygiene, and from luxury watches to art materials. Whether collaborating with industry giants or fuelling the rise of scrappy startups (yes, he’s all about that underdog magic), Daniel’s mission remains steadfast: to craft powerful narratives and launch, build, and scale brands into forces to be reckoned with.

Taking every chance to share his passion for consumer behaviour, brand building, and nurturing disruptive creative thinking, Daniel guest lectures at the likes of Surrey University, Goldsmiths, and Royal Holloway. He’s also a mentor with Virgin StartUp, and supports young startup founders through the early stages of business.
