David Currie, Strategic Partnerships Lead, Coles – Redworks Media

Passionate about the juncture of when entertainment & sport meet business, David is a brand partnership specialist with over a decade of experience in developing commercial outcomes for brands large and small. He is currently the Head of Partnerships for City Football Group in Australia, tasked with commercialising the Group’s portfolio of Football assets within ANZ.

Born, raised, and educated in Glasgow, Scotland, David’s professional career began in New York, with Credit Suisse, ‘cutting his teeth’ on brand sponsorship initiatives for internal and external audiences, that experience quickly recognised an interest in media and entertainment, eventually leading to roles at the BBC in London, leveraging the Corporation’s brand internationally by devising and selling ad-funded content, native advertising solutions and media sponsorships across BBC.com, BBC Sport, Top Gear, and BBC World News.

Whilst in London, what started as some innocent texts, and a Thai meal one night with an Australian colleague, blossomed into a one-way ticket to Melbourne with now-wife Amelia, joining Seven West Media in the process, as part of the Melbourne leadership team, focussed on formulation and implementation sponsorship sales, strategies, and communications, across some of the Networks key brands and assets.

David’s passion is to constantly learn, evolve iconic brands, work with great people, exceed expectations for the business, but most of all, to make sure to have fun whilst doing it!

The program is free but highly selective so firstly we ask senior business leaders working within Marketing, Media and Advertising to nominate the best of their emerging leaders for a place on the program. All ‘nominees’ then receive an ‘Invitation to Apply’ which includes essential information about the process.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE GLOBAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM 2026 ARE OPEN

Applicants may apply to EITHER cohort regardless of country of residence, but must commit to attend both Residential dates & the Virtual day of their chosen cohort. Attendance is mandatory and a condition of acceptance onto the program.
