Demi Abiola, Business Director, PHD Media

Demi Abiola is a Business Director at PHD Media, one of the UK’s top 5 media agencies, where he heads up the publishing team at the agency. His client portfolio consists of Warner Bros, Volkswagen Group, HSBC and Diageo amongst others. He’s been part of numerous award-winning campaigns: Mondelez Oreo Eclipse, Warner Bros Lego Batman and VW T- Roc: Bam the Ram to name but a few.

Demi is a perennial commentator about the Publishing industry where he is panellist at industry events such as Adweek and Mediatel’s Future of series. He has written numerous thought leader pieces for the IPA, Mediatel, Newsworks, and WARC (World advertising research council). And also judged the Mediaweek awards, Campaign publishing awards and Mediaweek 30 under 30.

Demi is the multicultural ambassador for PHD where he is a champion for engaging the agency to make the leap to become the UK’s most culturally diverse media agency. He is at the forefront in developing the agency mindset to one of cultural inclusivity and openness and lead the change in the industry towards diversity and anti racism. He is a mentor at the Brixton finishing school and Media for all in addition to sitting on the inclusivity board at Soho House where he is helping to shape their culture and ensure they are reaching new audiences and communities.

Demi certainly enjoys challenges that test your mental and physical fortitude. He has completed the Prudential ride 100mile cycle race twice for Great Ormond Street and Macmillan Cancer support. He was a competitor at Media fight night, which is a charity white collar boxing match for those people in the media and advertising industry. His efforts along with the other boxers raised over £200K for charity. In his spare time you will find him singing to himself on the Peleton, practicing yoga or playing poker.

The program is free but highly selective so firstly we ask senior business leaders working within Marketing, Media and Advertising to nominate the best of their emerging leaders for a place on the program. All ‘nominees’ then receive an ‘Invitation to Apply’ which includes essential information about the process.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE GLOBAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM 2026 ARE OPEN

Applicants may apply to EITHER cohort regardless of country of residence, but must commit to attend both Residential dates & the Virtual day of their chosen cohort. Attendance is mandatory and a condition of acceptance onto the program.
