Diana Hicks, Senior Director, Brand Marketing, Comcast

For Diana, advertising was her first love and remains true to this day (hopefully her husband isn’t reading this). As a passionate brand storyteller, with over 19 years’ experience, Diana has been responsible for shifting consumers hearts and minds for some of the worlds (now) most beloved brands. Taking a leap from the agency side, Diana joined Comcast 12 years ago. Initially tasked with changing the perception of the comcast brand (which was a tall order back in 2012), Diana has become an irreplaceable member for the marketing team; having held posts across every marketing function and has most recently become responsible for leading all brand marketing efforts for the Xifnity and NOW brands.

In this role, Diana oversees and leads planning, strategy, creative development, execution and implementation, of end-to-end integrated marketing campaigns to drive awareness, consideration and brand love for the Xfinity brand portfolio. Diana also owns the relationship between Comcast’s family of brands, fostering strong partnerships across entities to enhance co-branded initiatives. Diana’s favorite part of her role is equal parts being able to bore her friends with fun facts about mesh networks and coax fiber lines, while also teasing the newest Universal movies or rides – her job comes with ll sorts of perks. Her kids think she is especially cool, when she call them from sets facetiming with minions or trolls.

Prior to Comcast, Diana was on the agency side in account management at both BBH NY and TBWA/Chiat/Day NY. Throughout the early days of her career, leading various creative efforts across Axe Body Spray, Smirnoff Ice, Skittles, Starburst, Snickers, she unknowingly gained expertise in the 18-24 year old male target audience.

One of the best experiences of Diana’s career thus far, has been being a people leader. Finding new ways to uplift, motivate and support her team, has been more rewarding to her than she thought possible.

Diana graduated from the University of Delaware in 2005, with a degree in Marketing, and when she isn’t at work, she’s at home with her husband, Brian and their three children, Olivia, Avery and Thomas, in Haddonfield, NJ. Most weekends are spent jumping from sporting event to sporting event, but they’ve gotten pretty used to living in chaos and wouldn’t have it any other way.
