Emma Bird, Virtual Campus Program Director

Emma joined The Marketing Academy in May 2018 and was responsible for launching The Scholarship Program in the United States. Then in 2020, Emma launched The Virtual Campus Program and she is currently responsible for all elements of the Program management and delivery.

Before working at The Marketing Academy Emma was Head of Brand Communications at SSE leading teams delivering integrated communications campaigns. Prior to this she worked for Microsoft managing advertising campaigns for Office 365 and Windows 8. Emma started her career on the graduate scheme at Mitsubishi Motors moving through a number of roles including Customer Service, Dealer Marketing, Events Management and Advertising.

Outside of work Emma is kept busy by her 2 young children. She also enjoys family walks with her husband Tom and dog Bertie.

The program is free but highly selective so firstly we ask senior business leaders working within Marketing, Media and Advertising to nominate the best of their emerging leaders for a place on the program. All ‘nominees’ then receive an ‘Invitation to Apply’ which includes essential information about the process.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE GLOBAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM 2026 ARE OPEN

Applicants may apply to EITHER cohort regardless of country of residence, but must commit to attend both Residential dates & the Virtual day of their chosen cohort. Attendance is mandatory and a condition of acceptance onto the program.
