Responsible for leading RBC’s asset management business outside of North America. Executive Director RBC GAM UK Ltd Board, board member for BlueBay Asset Management, member of the Royal Bank of Canada Global Asset Management (RBC GAM) and RBC European Executive Committees.
RBC BlueBay is an active asset manager with expertise across fixed income, equities and alternatives, providing solutions to institutional and wholesale investors. Globally, RBC’s asset management business manages over US$450bn in assets for its clients (as at 31/03/2024).
Erich joined BlueBay in 2012 as its Global Head of Business Development and was promoted to CEO in 2017. Prior to joining BlueBay, Erich was Chief Executive of APAC based in Singapore, Head of Global Business Development and member of the Executive Committee of London based Aviva Investors. Erich has over 35 years’ experience in financial services and over 20 years managing global teams, working across institutional and wholesale markets in both traditional and alternative asset classes. Erich has an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles, and an MBA (Asia Focus) from the National University of Singapore in addition to a BA with Honours from National Louis University. He also has a diploma as an executive coach from Wisdom8 and an accreditation from the Association for Coaching (AC).
