Gabrielle Gray is Executive Creative Director of OLIVER+, a collection over 800 talented people from all over the globe who work with Inside Ideas Group clients every day, such as Adidas, Unilever and H&M. The journey to this role has been 11 years in the making, when she first joined the small production company that would grow to become the global creative team it is today. As an instrumental part of the leadership team, she has helped scale the business from just 9 people in Johannesburg, to one that spans 8 countries (and counting) and works with internationally recognised brands daily. A core belief in passing global opportunities on to less established regions is a fundamental value that Gabbi has helped build the company around, and seeing creatives from less advantaged countries succeed on the global stage is her key motivation.
Gabbi’s career began in TV production as a writer and researcher and later video director, where her passion for storytelling and human insight ensured that her work was always as engaging as it was beautiful. A bold decision to transition into advertising and content creation saw Gabbi quickly take on key positions such as Creative Planner for Hotel de Ville and then Creative Director at Embassy Production Suites.
Gabbi’s leadership skills and unique management style have been a driving force behind the success of the business, felt from the boardroom to the studio floor. As executive and creative leader, she ensures that her teams are empowered to perform at their best, delivering not just exceptional results for clients, but also a thriving working environment for those around her. After working remotely with UK teams for 6 years, Gabbi relocated to London in 2022 and is really looking forward to the day she doesn’t have to use google-maps so much.
