Gayatri Yadav is a seasoned marketing leader with deep expertise across consumer markets, digital platforms, and brand-building. She has extensive experience in shaping transformative marketing strategies, driving innovative campaigns, and leading initiatives that have delivered strong business growth and elevated brand equity.
As Group Chief Marketing Officer & EVP, Strategic Initiatives, Chairman’s Office at Reliance, she plays a central role in driving innovation, strengthening corporate brand equity, and embedding a culture of customer centricity across one of India’s most influential enterprises. Reliance is India’s leading conglomerate with businesses spanning energy, retail, digital services, media, and new commerce, powering the nation’s growth and global presence. In this role, Gayatri works closely with Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani, Isha Ambani, Akash Ambani, and Anant Ambani to drive innovation, strengthen corporate brand equity, and embed a deep culture of customer centricity.
Prior to Reliance, she led Marketing at Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia India & SEA), where she played a pivotal role in the firm’s rebranding and in supporting portfolio companies to build and scale world-class brands. Prior to that, as President, Consumer Strategy & Innovation at Star India, she spearheaded several high-impact initiatives, including the launch of Star Sports, Hotstar, and India’s most celebrated and awardwinning campaigns such as the “Nayi Soch” campaign on Star Plus, which championed women’s empowerment and the ICC Cricket World Cup campaign “Mauka Mauka” for Star Sports. Earlier, as CMO of General Mills India, she successfully launched and scaled the Pillsbury brand in the country.
Her trailblazing work has been recognized with numerous accolades, including the ETPrime Women Leadership Award for Brand and Marketing Leader of the Year, the IAA Leadership Award for Marketer of the Year, and recognition among the Top 10 Women Marketers in India (Brand Equity, Times of India). She has been featured repeatedly in the IMPACT 50 Most Influential Women in Media and Marketing, and named among India’s Greatest Brand Builders (BVMSR).
Beyond her corporate achievements, Gayatri is deeply committed to social impact. She serves on the boards of Paani Foundation, United Way Mumbai, and PRS Legislative Research, organizations working across water conservation, community development, and public policy research.
Gayatri holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
