Gemma enjoys travelling the road less travelled and has had the privilege of working on fantastic blue chip and scale up businesses across multiple industries. She thrives when working on transformational challenges, building energised and empowered teams and making things ‘better’ than they were before.
Last year Gemma joined the global marketing leadership team at Elvie, the purpose driven D2C/B2B scale-up on a mission to improve women’s lives through award-winning technology. Here she’s responsible for building the Global Brand & Commercial Innovation team, covering brand & commercial innovation strategy, campaign development, CRM and social media across Europe, US and China.
Prior to that Gemma launched as a consultant working with businesses looking to scale up their marketing efforts and team capabilities and joined MarketingKind as a founding member.
Gemma joined Mars Inc in 2012 as Senior Brand Manager and for 7 years worked on a number of their global brands across categories and geographies. Her key achievements included overseeing the reinvigoration of the UK Cesar brand, developing and launching a £70m RSV range of super premium cat food for the Sheba brand, and in her last role as Brand Director, overseeing the Snickers and Mars brands in the UK. In this last role Gemma launched the award-winning Snickers ‘Rap Battle’ advertising campaign with Elton John and the #SupportHer Women’s World Cup Campaign for Mars.
Gemma began her marketing career at HSBC, where she had the opportunity to take part on their esteemed graduate scheme, successfully completing roles in product management, project management and proposition development.
