I have over twenty years of experience studying and working with Challenger brands. Alongside Adam Morgan, founder of eatbigfish, I lead the London practise.
My career has mainly been in consultancy with long stints in advertising and marketing – although forays into the world of skiing, commodity broking and tennis instruction have made it interesting along the way.
I was ‘schooled’ at Unilever, but then moved into advertising for a career that took me from London (JWT and WCRS) to San Francisco (Goodby Silverstein) and back again (AMV-BBDO and Wieden & Kennedy). In my time in advertising, I worked on iconic campaigns including Guinness’s “Surfer” and the much parodied “got milk?” campaign in the US.
eatbigfish is fortunate to work at the highest levels in the organisations we partner with and across a huge diversity of categories from HIV to luxury whiskies, global banking to fibre networks, and cars to soda pop. Alongside the expertise we bring in understanding challenger brands, we are facilitators and deliver our projects through cross-functional workshop – helping teams co-author their own solutions to strategic challenges. I am also an executive coach.
Different companies. Different cultures. Different size teams. Different categories. Different challenges. It has been full of fun and I’m always curious to learn something new.
