Ian Kennedy, Head of Digital Consumer Experience, Puma

Ian is a marketing professional with a passion for developing customer-centric organisations, having led large digitally-centric teams, delivered award winning product and scaled audiences & revenues for some of the world’s biggest and progressive brands.

Currently working with Puma, leading their efforts to double growth in DTC. Ian’s remit is transformational, to grow the team and maturity of DTC and E-Commerce within the business. He has recently launched the Puma App in USA, India, Japan and the UK with more to come.

Previously, Ian built the Marketing & Digital team within Chelsea FC, leading them to become a top digitally enabled football club. Launching the official club app, it became the top-rated club app in the world and won multiple industry awards. Ian oversaw global growth strategies with a focus on USA, India and China and played a key part in acquiring and onboarding key commercial partnerships.

Ian also spent over 7 years in the UAE with Emirates Airline, where he scaled the digital team, leading the brand to a performance based, data driven operation. Building the team from the first digital marketer, developing the strategies and capabilities that now operate across 80+ markets.

Ian believes in a leadership style with accountability, supporting people to achieve their personal goals. Believing that marketing output should be measured and produce a ROI, Ian brings a data driven approach and believes that the best outcomes come from a strong blend of creativity and insight.

Outside of work, Ian is a Mentor for Migrant Leaders, a charity supporting talented but underprivileged young migrants in the UK, helping them to develop into future leaders. He also like to focus on physical and mental fitness, is a regular marathon runner and trekker, and has most recently completed the Berlin Marathon in 2021.

The program is free but highly selective so firstly we ask senior business leaders working within Marketing, Media and Advertising to nominate the best of their emerging leaders for a place on the program. All ‘nominees’ then receive an ‘Invitation to Apply’ which includes essential information about the process.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE GLOBAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM 2026 ARE OPEN

Applicants may apply to EITHER cohort regardless of country of residence, but must commit to attend both Residential dates & the Virtual day of their chosen cohort. Attendance is mandatory and a condition of acceptance onto the program.
