James Reid, Vice President, Business Development, Collectively

James Reid (he/him) is located in New York City and is currently Vice President of Business Development at Collectively, one of the largest influencer marketing companies globally. Part of The Brandtech Group (formerly You & Mr Jones), Collectively is a pioneering agency that connects the world’s most innovative brands with content creators across all social media platforms through best-in-class collaboration, strategy, innovation, and technology.

In his role, James oversees all new client partnerships internationally across all consumer categories, with a specialty in beauty, technology, fashion, spirits, and CPG. He currently leads a team of new business experts who manage relationships with prospective brand partners, from initial introductions and lead generation to onboarding and execution.

Prior to joining Collectively over six years ago, James worked in the San Francisco Bay Area in the architectural and design space at Fireclay Tile, working on key accounts like Whole Foods, Starbucks, and WeWork. James started his career at American Apparel where he worked for over six years, overseeing the Northern California retail market as a District Manager.

James earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from University of California Santa Cruz, which led to his initial interest in American Apparel and Fireclay Tile, brands who value sustainability, vertical integration and US manufacturing.

When he isn’t working, James spends time with his partner and puppy Mara—he loves art, design, drag queens, and a good martini.
