James has spent his career working for consumer ecommerce-oriented businesses that have either been leading their category or challenging the traditional model of an industry. He joined start-up disruptor eve sleep plc in September 2018, with a mission to bring sleep-wellness to consumers and to modernise the mattress and bedroom category with a new mattress-in-a-box product, taking friction out of the customer buying experience. He was previously Managing Director of Moonpig, the UK’s leading online greetings card, flower and gift company, where he delivered four consecutive years of double-digit revenue and EBITDA growth, expanded the product offering, and led the successful rebranding of the business in 2017. Prior to Moonpig, James was part of Direct Line Group for more than seven years where he held a number of senior divisional leadership and marketing roles across the Group.
