Jennifer Chung is currently the head of Global Marketing Excellence in Biopharma’s Chief Marketing Office. The Global Marketing Excellence team is dedicated to support Pfizer marketers to achieve marketing excellence that consistently drives optimal customer interest, engagement and outcomes. In this role, this team will define a common definition for marketing excellence based on standards that are benchmarked against the best marketing in the world and partner with business leaders and brand teams to achieve marketing excellence for our inline brands and 20+ launch assets. This team will also be responsible for developing Pfizer’s marketing talent by building tailored learning journeys, experiential growth plans, and incentives that support colleague growth, and continuously strengthen Pfizer’s marketing community, both internally and externally.
Prior to this role, Jennifer was Vice President, Patient Experience Pioneer for the Bold Move 3.3 Agile team. This team was focused on designing and implementing Biopharma’s new go-to-market commercial model. During her time at Pfizer, Jennifer also served as Vice President of Global Marketing for Xeljanz Global and formally Vice President for Global Marketing for the Inflammation and Immunology BU. In these roles, she was responsible for identifying the strategic pathways that will address the needs of patients with chronic inflammatory diseases, on a global scale. Jennifer has over 20 years of pharmaceutical industry experience designing commercial infrastructures, growing brands, and optimizing product value from launch to sunset.
Prior to her current role at Pfizer, Jennifer was Vice President, Commercial at Relyspa Inc, a biotech company focused on the development of polymer-based medicines for chronic kidney disease. Her responsibilities included the creation of the company’s commercial organization, including marketing, sales, and operations which resulted in the successful launch of the company’s first commercialized product, Veltassa. Jennifer was also instrumental in the commercial strategies that lead to the company’s IPO in 2014 and acquisition in 2016. Jennifer joined Relypsa after an 18-year career at Pfizer and held a variety of roles of increasing responsibility in US and Global marketing and Medical Affairs. During this time, Jennifer led the commercial development, product launches and portfolio management for brands such as Lyrica, the Opioids franchise, Aricept, Caduet and Norvasc.
Jennifer holds a Bachelor’s of Science from Rutgers University College of Pharmacy and a Master’s of Business Administration from Fordham University.
