Johannah Rogers is an Effie Award Winning Marketing and Innovation Director who is passionate about building brands that not only push culture but also leave the world a better more, inclusive place. She is currently the Director of North American Whiskey at Diageo and is responsible for building the pipeline to ensure Diageo’s sustainable future growth in the whiskey category by developing products the meet the desires and needs of emerging consumer segments. She deeply is motivated by the opportunity to reframe how consumers perceive whiskey.
As an accomplished marketer, she has progressed her 15+ career journey leading the narrative and strategic ambition for the largest global consumer brands including Campbell’s Soup, Captain Morgan, Tanqueray, Smirnoff, and Crown Royal. Career accomplishments include re-positioning Diageo’s 3rd largest brand, Crown Royal Regal Apple, to recruit an emerging consumer segment and leading the 50th anniversary commemoration of Andy Warhol’s 32 Soup Cans artwork with limited edition Campbell’s Soup cans which sold out at Target stores nationwide.
When not immersed in new whiskey concepts, Johannah involves herself in justice centric nonprofit work. Specifically, she is the Vice Chairperson of YSRP – the Youth Sentencing and Reentry Project – whose mission it is to keep Black and Brown children out of adult prisons. She is also a member of the President’s Advisory Council for TAP – The Acceleration Project – whose mission it is to keep BIPOC and women led small business thriving. Johannah is fulfilled by the opportunity create equity for overlooked communities.
When Johannah is not working her 9-5 or 5-9, she is an avid runner and Peloton user. She enjoys immersions in culture and the arts in New York City. Lastly, Johannah newly married to her lifelong best friend Bukola Omishore and is the proud owner of a Cockypoo Yorkie named Bane.
