Jordyn Evans, Founder, Mingle

Jordyn is the modern day spice girl shaking things up in supermarkets both in Australia and currently New Zealand. Her passion for food, people, learning, communication and connection have all been part of her delicious recipe when starting her business, Mingle, 6 years ago. An entrepreneur at heart, Jordyn grew up in a small family business and knew one day she would have her own.

Mingle started six years ago in her kitchen when she was cleaning out her pantry. She discovered the seasonings that she had been using contained a whole lot of nasty ingredients-added sugar, high amounts of sodium, refined vegetable oils, numbers, preservatives and cheap fillers. She didn’t think these ingredients were necessary and went to the supermarket to try and find a better option.

Standing at the Herbs and Spice Aisle she couldn’t find what she was looking for. Not only that, she was uninspired with the brands available! That’s when she had the vision to shake things up with a healthy seasoning product that was also fun, colourful, relatable and made people excited to cook. So at the age of 25, she sold her car, moved back home and invested everything into Mingle.

Ambitious, driven and keen to learn, Jordyn has immersed herself in many programs over the years in order for her to continue to grow and be the leader she needs to be. These include the Chobani Incubator Program, Melbourne University Accelerator Program and the Alt. MBA Leadership Program. This provided her with immense knowledge, wisdom and connections to grow her FMCG business. After 6 years, Mingle now is disrupting multiple categories in supermarkets and have ranges in recipe bases, seasonings and sauces that are stocked across more than 2000 stockists in major retails in Australia and NZ.
