Joseph Soriero, International Marketing Director, Brooklyn Brewery

Joseph Soriero is the International Marketing Director at the Brooklyn Brewery, the iconic American craft beer brand bringing the Brooklyn state of mind to the world. Since joining the inaugural export team in 2015, Joseph has played a key role in expanding the brand across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, establishing it as the largest American craft beer sold abroad. Fusing an entrepreneurial mindset with scaled distribution, he collaborates with partners such as Carlsberg and Kirin to drive global brand strategy, campaigns, and innovation in key markets worldwide.

Recently, Joseph spearheaded the Brewing for Impact initiative, working alongside Brooklyn’s James Beard award-winning Brewmaster and seven leading breweries including Guinness, Carlsberg and Omnipollo to introduce fonio, a regenerative African supergrain, to the global beer market and to collectively steward a more sustainable and equitable brewing future.

From 2020 to 2022, Joseph led Brooklyn’s Asia-Pacific brand and business development in a rotational assignment with Kirin in Japan and Carlsberg Asia in Hong Kong, contributing +25% YoY growth to the region through a mix of optimized product offerings, revised on-premise channel strategy, branded retail and key account partnerships.

Outside of the brewery walls, Joseph explores creative ventures in journalism, world travel and beverage. In 2023, he co-founded Natural Spirit – a sparkling spring water blending local sourcing, retro Americana and community support profiled in Fast Company, Axios and Snaxshot. His photography and writing have been featured in The Guardian, Forbes, Radii China, Invisible Oranges and The Baltimore Sun. In his increasingly rare free time, he provides marketing advisory and content support to small businesses and emerging brands.
