Julia Gorbach, Freelance Creative & Content Director

Julia Gorbach is an Emmy and two-time World Press Photo-winning creator, filmmaker, and innovator. A “joyful wild mind” she sees the world through a strategically thoughtful lens and applies her creative experience within documentary, creative agencies, and emerging technology to conceive and create work for clients and originals.

Currently, Julia is the Director of Originals at THAT, where she helms a creative innovation discipline, fearlessly leading and incubating original concepts and products that feed into new business opportunities. Inspired by the experimental nature of Google Experiments, she is committed to collaborating with all sorts of creators, engaging with emerging technologies, prompting world building “what if?” questions to speculate possible futures, and creating solutions that people desire.

Previously, Julia was a member of NEW INC, New Museum’s art and technology incubator, and a Founding Member / Filmmaker at The Skin Deep, where she created and filmed interactive documentaries, digital series, apps, live experiences and product eco-systems. Her work has been featured at Cannes, Sundance, IDFA Doclabs, Tribeca, Webbys, True / False, and clients include Ford, Bloomberg, Grubhub, Seamless, No Kid Hungry, 2020 Census, Sotheby’s, Walmart, Condé Nast, Public Policy Lab, and The Oratory Laboratory.

The program is free but highly selective so firstly we ask senior business leaders working within Marketing, Media and Advertising to nominate the best of their emerging leaders for a place on the program. All ‘nominees’ then receive an ‘Invitation to Apply’ which includes essential information about the process.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE GLOBAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM 2026 ARE OPEN

Applicants may apply to EITHER cohort regardless of country of residence, but must commit to attend both Residential dates & the Virtual day of their chosen cohort. Attendance is mandatory and a condition of acceptance onto the program.
